Follow Friday Hosted by Java

Who said community spirit was dead?
One evening after having one too many glasses of vino, myself and two neighbours decided it would be a good idea to have a street party to celebrate the Royal Wedding in April. We live in a small close with 13 homes and we were unsure if anyone else would like this idea, well yesterday confirmed that community spirit isn't dead as all households replied positively to our flyer so it looks like full steam ahead, all we have to do now is get permission from the Highways Authority to close the road for a few hours.

Craft Stamper Magazine

Ok as so many have asked here is a pic of my entry, the colour is not good probably because its a photo of the magazine.

I went to buy my usual monthly magazine and found that my scrapling was pictured inside! A scrapling is a piece of artwork of a specified size. Every month Craft Stamper has a challenge. They give you a colour scheme and will tell you what they require eg scrapling, ATC, tag etc. This months challenge is to alter a match box so I will have to get my thinking cap on!

Busy Day

I have had a busy day today sorting out my craft room and doing a bit of scrapbooking. I have some lovely new stamps from The Artistic Stamper and I have been engrossed in some scrapbooking magazines Nina brought me back from her holiday in Australia. I will have to take some pics to put on here as the mags have been a big inspiration.
I also received a lovely photo of my niece at her Graduation, she looked so beautiful and grown up (which she is as she is 22!).
On Sunday we (Ken, Tom and I) are having some professional photos taken of the three of us, the last ones before Tom goes off to college to start his pilot training. Tom is already packed and cannot wait to get going, I want him to go but know I will miss him dearly, difficult times lay ahead!
