A card using Seth Apter stamps and stencils

This months challenge details can be found HERE
This is a 6" x 6" picture frame style 3d card.
I took a stamped image Lynne Perrella (PaperArtsy) and coloured it using Distress Ink pads.
I gave the image a thin coat of DecoArt Crackle Glaze.
I heat embossed the 'Network' stamp on a piece of 6" x 6" card and cut out the middle.
Using Distress Ink pads I coloured the card and added details with stencils by Seth Apter (I bought these directly from the US from StencilGirl).
Using the Crackle Glaze I dripped it onto the frame and let it run.
Using a pizza base I cut a frame to fit.
I added the Lynne Perrella image behind the pizza base.
I was going to attach a card blank to the rear but decided to put a hanging tab instead.

October Challenge - The Craft Garden

Details of this months challenge at The Craft Garden can be found HERE

This month I made a large tag (size #10 from PaperArtsy).

Firstly I used a mask and distress ink pads to create a soft background before adding a black line edging with a journaling pen.
I then cut out what felt like hundreds of leaves in 5 shades of autumnal colours and arranged them adding some cream coloured dried grass.

I had the huge flower (Prima) in my stash and used it as a focal point. I then added a title and hessian at the top of the tag.

Card and Sketch

This months challenge can be found HERE
When I started to make this card it wasn't my intention to use only black, white and grey it just evolved this way. I am really pleased with the result especially as cards are not really my forte. The stamps are all PaperArtsy.

Go, Go, Go!

This months Craft Garden Challenge can be found HERE
I made this layout using a photograph of my nephew on his recent birthday at the karting track. I took the colours from the overalls he wore. I used DecoArt Liquid Acrylics with a brayer for the background. I stamped circles using a black ink pad and Liquid Acrylics.
I cut the metal embellishment to fit the corner.
 I added some chain.
I then added some more metal embellishments and a piece of filmstrip.
And this is the end result!

8 8 8

Details of this moths challenge can be found HERE
There is always a lovely prize to be had!
The stamp pictured I made myself from pink rubber. As the theme is '8' I used the stamp 8 times in the new Twisted Citron Distress Ink colour.
After using other stamps, masks and stencils to complete the background I stamped in black this fabulous image from Indigoblu.

August Challenge - The Craft Garden

This months challenge can be found HERE
The theme is '8', can you see the connection
between the theme and my card?
I used JOFY stamps by PaperArtsy and
DecoArt Liquid Acrylics to make this card.

June Challenge - The Craft Garden

You can find details of this months challenge at the Here
I used ribbon, paint and yellow from the recipe list to create this tag. I normally colour stamps using Copics but as these were not in the list I decided to use paint. I was surprised that it turned out as well as it did as paint for me normally involves lots of paint and mess! The tag and stamps are all from PaperArtsy and in case you were wondering I do not have shares in PaperArtsy but I am starting to think that maybe I should!
 I used plain manila tags.
I stamped my images and using white Americana from DecoArt I started painting.
I completed my tag by adding ribbon of matching colours.

May Challenge - The Craft Garden

You can find details of this months challenge at the Here
When someone says 'Yorkshire' to me I think of two things; Emmerdale and green. I am a huge fan of Le Tour but as I live near Cambridge that is my association with Le Tour (so I guess it depends on where you live! It was an amazing sight to watch all those bikes come whizzing through a quiet little Cambridgeshire village) Anyway Emmerdale and green and the wellie brigade so it was inevitable that my project was going to be green! I had been given a paperweight that required you to add something decorative to it, the display one showed a photograph but I thought Borrrinnggg (as Judge Rinder would say) so I set about making something green with a nature theme. The words are a stamp from Darcy at PaperArtsy and the leaves are from Jofy. I made the background using Gelatos, a mask (also from PaperArtsy) and baby wipes.
Plain paper weight
 Gelato background
Place mask onto background and using a baby wipe, wipe away the Gelatos through the mask, take care not to scrub.
Carefully remove mask and repeat to create the desire effect.
This mask is by Emma at PaperArtsy.
I added stamped leaves at this point to add to the 'nature' feel. I used Stazon to stamp with.
Using Big Brush pens I coloured in a few leaves.
 I added a stamped saying.
Finally I put the picture in place.
