Something for Everyone

Below are several art journal pages
I recently discovered in my A4 Dylusions
journal. I have used a wide variety
of stamps, stencils & other bits n pieces.
I adore the quote stamps from Dyan Reavely,
I have many in my collection including
the ones below.
Madonna was drawn and coloured by the
incredibly talented Lily Chilvers, sadly taken
from this world at the tender age of 21.
Such a huge loss to the creative world.
She left behind some incredible work which
I am proud to use.
The stamp images below are from Lynne
Perrella at PaperArtsy. The fan die cut is by
 Tattered Lace.
The photograph doesn't do the colours in the
page below justice. I used lots of gold paint
and inks along with some super stamps by
Artistic Stamper.
I wanted to keep this page simple
by using only 3 colours as I felt the
image was very strong and stood by
itself alone.
As some of you will know the semi-colon
is a symbol of strength and survival
of people who are suffering and have
suffered with a mental health illness.
My page below is a very personal page
and I am pleased to say that I am a
SURVIVOR.
A fun page using big lips and a great
zip die cut.
Finally this last page features Totally Tracy
flower stamps. The small flowers and butterfly
were designed by Hels Sheridan. The butterfly
is on card that has been alcohol inked.
I hope the variety in these pages will
inspire you to get creating.

ZinskiArt

I am completely in love with ZinskiArt (Elena Guzinska), who has a wonderful range pre-coloured digi images (available from Etsy) and rubber stamps (available from Paperartsy)

The card below I made for my niece Suzi. I used Distress Oxides for the background (another new love of mine), a background stamp by Paperartsy and a digi image from ZinskiArt.
As my colouring skills leave a lot to be desired I find using these pre-coloured images brilliant for quick cards. This is a 6" x 6" card.

A Spooky Challenge

Over at A Quiet Colouring Corner during October, there was a Spooky Challenge!

A prompt for each day was posted and all you had to do was make a piece of artwork relating to that prompt and upload it to share.
I opted to make ATC's as they are a brilliant size for quick projects and easily stored too, here are 3 of my cards.
I use playing cards to make my ATC's and I used various techniques and products over the 31 days the challenge ran.
If you would like to look at all the wonderful entries just click HERE
I will post more of mine over the coming days.

Exploding Box

Simple things please simple minds so they say and I'm never tired of an exploding box!
I used stamps from Tracy Scott at PaperArtsy to create this latest colourful version. There are fabulous instructions to make your own exploding box from Sazzle Craft Here.

Christmas is coming........

Only Joking!
I thought I would share a few Christmas cards I made with my lovely friend Ann.
A little bit of stamping and glitter 😝
A little of PaperArtsy always a good sign.
Peel off glittery lines, perfect!
These are such easy designs to follow but very effective. Sadly I did have to use glitter!

Scrap Thursday Part 32

This weeks layout has been made for the Dare to Create challenge set by Andy Skinner and Tracy Weinzapfel. The idea is to use techniques and styles of both Andy and Tracy in one piece of art.
I used one of my photographs from Brisbane at Christmas for this layout.
I used DecoArt Americana diluted with water to use as a wash.
I started with a white wash over printed scrapbook paper.
I then used a baby wipe to dab off excessive paint.
I built the colour up gradually.
Once dry I distressed the edges of the paper.
Using my finger I added the final colour of paint on the edges.
Once dry I wove the paper and glued it in place on a piece of Bazzill.

Using watercolour pencils and a water brush I added a rusty effect to the edges.
I used a mask from The Crafter's Workshop to add some tiny arrows.
I made a green heart using DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylics, Crackle Glaze and Antiquing Cream. This is similar to the one in the Brisbane logo.
To add a bit more of a Christmas feel I used two Christmas stamps by PaperArtsy and a little bit of sparkle on the cats hat.
I edged the card using Distress Ink pads and a water brush. Around the edges of the weaving I added a title and date.
