Thanks for the gentle reminder to everyone! All of Queensland is in bad shape, and it's moving south. Thousands of folks have lost their homes, though thankfully only 10 reported dead so far.
WOW! I've been thinking about Australia a lot the last couple of days. :-( Sending good thoughts for everyone, those in Brisbane, and especially those evacuating in Queensland too.
Thankyou for the thoughts everyone! I am in Ipswich and we had it worse here than Brisbane, but not as bad as Toowoomba (the first of your photos) They had no warning at all. 8 people died, and 72 are still missing presumed dead. The official death toll is at 15 now. We didnt get flooded but we lost power for three days. Houses just around the corner from us went under water. We were completely cut off from everything. The river is slowly receding now. But its only just begun with the cleanups and the dreaded task of finding those still missing. You can catch my two blogs about it on my page :)
