Ken and I are so proud of Tom, he has worked very hard for this rank it is truly deserved. Tom leaves home on Tuesday to begin his pilot training, the house is going to seem so empty......

Promotion!
Tom went for an interview last night as a Flight Sergeant with Wing Commander Bower and came home as a Cadet Warrant Officer which is the highest rank he can achieve as a cadet!

'du ya know wha I mean?' or 'init, blood' for those of you asking about what 'init blood' means it's just what some of the kids say almost as a greeting!

The King Speech
We went to see 'The Kings Speech' tonight and all I can say is that it is an excellent film, well worth going to see, I thought it tackled a delicate issue very well. Colin Firth was superb and was well supported by Helena Bonham Carter and Geoffery Rush.
After the death of his father King George V & abdication of King Edward VIII , Bertie (Colin Firth) who has suffered from a debilitating speech impediment all his life, is suddenly crowned King George VI of England. With his country on the brink of war and in desperate need of a leader, his wife, Elizabeth (Helena Bonham Carter) arranges for her husband to see an eccentric speech therapist, Lionel Logue (Geoffery Rush). After a rough start, the two delve into an unorthodox course of treatment and eventually form an unbreakable bond. With the support of Logue, his family, his government and Winston Churchill , the King will overcome his stammer and deliver a radio-address that inspires his people and unites them in battle. Based on a true story.
