Sketches in Thyme - August 2016
Time for another scrapbook challenge!
Full details can be found HERE
I used the new collection of papers (Mermaid Tails) from Kaisercrafts for this layout, they seemed so appropriate! I also used the collection embellishments.
I used a Dutch Doobadoo stencil with Distress Ink pads and added 'bubbles' using an old book page and journal pen, added dots of black Dylusions spray and finished the page by adding wax cord that I finger knitted.

This months sketch is above.
I used this Stempell & Kartoon brick wall chipboard to give a little dimension.
and painted it using Dylusions paint.
I used an embossing folder to give texture.
The finished result has a Christmas theme.

This is the sketch for this week
This is my interpretation.
The photographs show my friends little boy at his nursery last summer on his Graduation Day (such a cute idea).
I used supplies from Love to Craft and Create

Sketches in Thyme - February 2016 & Scrap Thursday 24
Time for another scrapbook challenge!
Full details can be found HERE
February's sketch I found quite a challenge as I didn't have any suitable photographs that could be cropped quite small. But as I had these fabulous alpha stickers by Tim Holtz I decided to use these instead and add just one 6" x 4" photograph.
I used a terrific journal word stamp from the Artistic Stamper and finished it off with a small clock face and hands.

Sketches in Thyme - January 2016
Time for another scrapbook challenge!

I love using autumnal colours and this photo of Jack was the perfect fit. I used a stamp from Stampotique and one of the fabulous Crazy Birds stamps by Ranger. I made a circle of leaves using the Autumn Gatherings Tim Holtz die with Bazzill card stock. I finished the layout off using ribbon, a silk strip and wispy green fibres for my feathered friend!

Sketches in Thyme - December
Time for another scrapbook challenge!
Full details can be found HERE
This weeks sketch is fabulous and I had lots of fun using it (sketches always get my brain going as you cannot just 'do what you fancy')
I stenciled (using Andy Skinner stencils) onto patterned (Kaisercraft) paper and used a journaling pen to add border details around the group of photos and the whole page. I added the ready made 'shore' embellishment by Jolee and added heat embossed images of a shell and starfish to finish the layout off.
Its rare I use a ready made embellishment but I loved this one and it fit perfectly so it just had to be done!

Helen's Layout
This months challenge can be found HERE
Helen designed these two fabulous pages following the Sketch from the September Sketches in Thyme Challenge.
A very young Helen and David!
It is interesting to see how a different colour range changes the look completely.
