Every Girl NEEDS a Handbag!

This is another Tando product I couldn't resist, after all every girl needs a handbag!
The board was painted with a 'Hazelnut' dabber from Ranger, and a chocolate coloured ink pad for the Indigoblu stamp 'Sarah's Choice' to given a hessian look. A Dylusions stamp was used for the flower design in black.
The I-Spy image is from the Indigoblu Grand Tour range, this is much smaller than the indiviual stamp of the same image. The oval clasp is covered in Crushed Glass Glitter with a coating of Glossy Accents.
Finally I made a handbag charm clip using Tando cogs, painted with acrylic and covered in Glossy Accenst, pearl glass beads and using the same Dylusions stamp as on the hand bag I stamped onto shrink plastic, coloured using Promarkers and using a Heat Gun shrunk to size.

What a Pong!

I have just discovered Tando! Now I know this is not a new product but it is to me so please bare with me as I warble on. I was really impressed with the ease in which it went together even after painting. The board is lazer cut so each piece is a perfect fit. Tando only cut to order so lots of care is taken hence the reason it locks so well together, no mass production line.
To complete this project above I used: Decopatch paper, acrylic paint, stamps, beads, bead dazzled, lace ribbon, leaf charm, silver charm, sequin waste, distree ink pad, perfect pearl mists, prima resist canvas shapes.

Rosette Tree

This is my inspiration for Christmas Day table decorations.
As some of you will know my son is out in Arizona studying and will not be home for Christmas (he will be enjoying himself in Las Vegas!) So Mr Rum and I were expecting a very quiet holiday celebration this year but we are very lucky to be sharing Christmas with my nephew (whom I last saw when he was 2 in 1988!) and his wife who have come over to the UK from Australia. They have come to spend time travelling before settling down for a while and are joining us for a few days between Spain and Scotland!
I thought it would be nice to decorate the table with something I had made and when I saw these trees I knew they would be perfect as they are simply but effective (check out my rosette tutorial if you haven't got the required die), the example above is from Tim Holtz and full details can be found on his blog. The photographs below are my versions.
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas

Birthday Card

I used a butterfly embossing plate (available from Its Crafting Time) with thin blue metal and a sanding block on the metal to remove the colour from the butterflies.

French Knitting

I was reintroduced to a school girl craft today- French Knitting! I didn't have a proper 'dolly' my dolly was made from cardboard and it worked really well, I will have to see how I can now incorporate this craft into my altered art and scrapping work.

Shoe

Just thought I'd post this pic of a sandle I made a while ago without a template. It took a while to do as the heal was difficult, hope you like it x
