Mmmmmm Chocolate!

The challenge this month over at Our Creative Corner is all about JUNK!
You can create whatever you want to but it must contain something that you consider Junk that you have reclaimed or recycled.

So I started with a chocolate box.
and changed it into a memory
Of our trip to see The Nutcracker ballet in Queensland.
Below are some pictures showing how I changed the box.
After giving the box a coat of gesso I used Washi tape to cover all the edges.
Using Graphic 45 Nutcracker Sweet paper I covered the top and sides of the box.
I used Washi tape to cover the edge of the box to give a neat finish.
Inside the box I used Bazzill to cove the base and sides.
I used Bazzill on the bottom of the box too.
Graphic 45 papers really lend themselves to this kind of project.
I added ready made ribbon with stunning roses.
I gave a figure from Retro Cafe Art a coat of gesso.
Using a scrap of fabric I made the skirt.
I dyed it using Dylusions ink spray.
Measured up the lace, I was thinking tutu here.
I used Washi tape to cover the top of the body and added embellishments from That Craft Place
I used DecoArt crackle paste and then covered it with Treasure Gold.
I used Treasure Gold on the crown too.
I painted the arms and face and fixed the figure together adding a mask and additional embellishments to the skirt.
I used some ballet themed paper and laced ribbon across it, my inspiration for this coming from ballet shoes.
It is the finishing touches that really finish things off.
 This is the inside lid.
I had to add my tickets!
And this is the end result, hope you like it.
