Hi!! Thanks so much for stopping by and following Kortney's Krazy Life! I'm returning the favor and following you back! ;)
I glad you are interested in learning about homeschooling! This is my third year doing it! My daughter who is 11 attended public school up until the 3rd grade and my son (6) has never done anything but homeschool.
It's so much fun! I love being able to teach them and see them learn! It's really a blessing! I wish all moms could be able to do it if they wanted to!
We travel with my husbands job so we are not able to attend local homeschool groups like others do but in the line of work he does we meet a lot of other homeschoolers at the different job sites we travel to! So there is always good fellowship there!
As far as them wanting to attend public school, they really don't. They love to be able to see all the different places we go and most of all be with their daddy year round. (which usually didn't happen until we started traveling with him)
We take advantage of the areas history and stuff like that so there is constant learning. I tried a very structured approach at the beginning but soon found that that wasn't for us! While in public school my duaghter was tested and scored as a gifted learner so I am constantly having to stay on my toes to help feed her ability to learn and be creative! My son is the same way! They enjoy hands on learning and such!
Whew! I think I'm long winded tonight! haha If there's anything else you'd like to know just ask! I don't mind sharing at all!
I had no idea you didn't have lifesavors! I thought they were universal, not sure I can visit the UK ever again now ;) I hope you have a fantastic week!
