Utee Book

I've had a couple of questions of about my Utee book and will do my best to answer them here!

I started with the front and back covers and used Tim Holtz 12 x 12 paper (any vintage style would do), a page from an old book and an A4 sheet of old adverts (I now have several of these which I can email you if you are interested, but all I did was put into Google 'old magazine adverts' and various ones popped up), these were torn and cut to cover both sides of the pages.

I then used distress inks pads to give the antique look (slightly heavier on the edges fading into the middle), I also used this technique on the rest of the inner pages but tended to make them less fussy so that I can journal on them.

Two of the pages were large jigsaw puzzle pieces, I sanded these before using alcohol inks to colour them. Childrens floor jigsaws can easily be obtained from charity shops along with scrabble and bingo which  are useful for letters and numbers!

Once all the pages were covered I then used various pieces of Idea-ology to decorate them, these are great as they can be coloured with alcohol inks (I used glossy accents to stick them down), Utee and die cuts (Tim Holtz Sizzix dies). If you haven't taken a class involving Utee I would highly recommend one as there is so much to learn and it is a very versatile product.

Once all the pages were finished I used a Bind It All to complete the book. I hope this info helps but if not feel free to ask more questions and thanks for looking x
