Back in May I was lucky enough to attend a workshop with Claudia Neubacher

The workshop was held at That Craft Place.

We used two mini canvas' and DecoArt products.

I used a Prima spark plug embellishment to represent my hubby who is a huge motor racing fan and flying related embellishments to represent our son who is a pilot.
It was a great day and it was truly lovely to meet Claudia.

Love in the First Degree

There is a new challenge over at TCP.

 The challenge was to add a charm to your project.

I used DecoArt Media range Fluid Acrylics and Antiquing Cream on top of embossed card that I had stuck to the 6" x 6" frame. The letters were painted using Americana before being topped with Crackle Paste, this then had a thin coat of Silks added to give a soft sheen.

The background was made using Americana and Fresco paints, I added interest using stencils and stamps by PaperArtsy.

I made a fabric flower and added a zipper pull by Prima, a button and flower to complete the frame.

Charlie did it!

A day without laughter....

Over at That Craft Place the new monthly challenge is 'FILM' inspired. Full rules here. Below is my entry, a Charlie Chaplin card (8" x 8" in size), the stamp is from Lily Chilvers at The Octopode Factory, I have used Copics to colour Charlie and added a pocket watch embellishment available from TCP.

Keep Calm and Craft

After undercoating this laser cut (see post below) I decided to decorate it using DecoArt Fluid Acrylics. I used these as they are highly pigmented and the effect above was made using lots of water which was allowed to run through the paint to get the running drip feel. Once dry each letter was outlined using a black POSCA pen. This fab laser cut is available from That Craft Place (they also cut to order one off pieces).
