I found this idea for storing ribbon on Pinterest but I think it would work even better for Washi Tape and would allow you to see designs clearly.

I cannot remember where I heard this snippet of information but since I tried it I have found it invaluable. Instead of using Gesso to prep an intricate naked product use a spray undercoat instead (from somewhere like Homebase) This way everything is evenly covered and the finish is incredibly smooth. It also means you don't spend ages trying to get into every little nook and cranny!

I am going to try and bring a weekly tip to my blog, hopefully something I have discovered myself but I am happy to add others tips too so let me know if you have something to share.

I wanted to add the above Christmas bulbs to a project but I was sticking them onto a dark surface and they just didn't 'pop'

 So I painted Gesso onto the back of each bulb and the result was bulbs that 'popped'!

Great result don't you agree?
